DOLE-OSHC to hold 15th National Occupational Safety and Health Congress

“We would like to invite everyone to the 15th National Occupational Safety and Health Congress on November 17-18, 2016. This Congress will showcase the best OSH practices of award-winning establishments and the current trends in terms of compliance to labor laws and OSH standards,” said Occupational Safety and Health Center Executive Director Ma. TeresitaS. Cucueco, MD, CESO III.

“During the 14th NOSH Congress, we had almost 1,000 participants and we are definitely expecting more this year,” Cucueco added.

With the theme “Sustaining Decent Work through Occupational Safety and Health”, the 15th NOSH Congress will be held on November 17-18, 2016 at the OSHC main office in Quezon City. The two-day event will feature discussions and plenary sessions on accessibilty of OSH services, emergency preparedness and disaster response, OSH for vulnerable workers, prevention of occupational injuries and diseases, healthy lifestyle, green jobs, expanding social protection coverage for the informal sector, risk assessment and management, voluntary compliance mechanisms and OSH information technology.

Experts from various fields of OSH and Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan Champions will also be sharing their best practices and novel strategies. Manufacturers of personal protective equipment and other Osh-related technologies willn also have booths to present their products.
