Government Quality Management Committee awards DOLE-OSHC for ISO certification

“We would like to thank the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) for recognizing our efforts on the ISO 9001:2008 certification. Beginning 2014, we have been working hard on getting certified and maintaining such standards to ensure that we are able to efficiently deliver quality services to the Filipino workers,” said Occupational Safety and Health Executive Director Ma. Teresita S. Cucueco.

“In a few days, we will once again undergo a surveillance audit for recertification of our systems by the TUV Rheinland. This will be our last for the ISO 9001:2008 and we will be transitioning to ISO 9001:2015 by next year,” Cucueco added.

The GQMC, chaired by Department of Budget and Management Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno bestows the award to ISO certififed government agencies from January 2012 to October 2016. This is a program of GQMC to recognize the effort of government agencies to comply with Executive Order No. 605, series of 2007.

Under EO 605, all departments and agencies under the Executive Branch are required to adopt the ISO Quality Managemnt System Standards particularly for their frontline services.
