DOLE-OSHC REU V conducts OSH orientation for hotels and restaurants

Legazpi City – Some 44 participants from 39 companies attended the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Orientation conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) Regional Extension Unit (REU) V today, July 15, Friday.


Mr. Mark James Andayog, OSHC REU V focal person discussed the key concepts, principles and practices on OSH and the hazards and risks faced by workers n the hotel and restaurant industry. The orientation also featured a lecture on the provisions of Philippine laws for the safety and health of workers.


The orientation is part of the training of the Regional Tripartite Wage Board.


The OSHC regularly conducts OSH Orientations for establishments in both the private and public sectors, as well as technical services such as work environment measurement, testing of personal protective equipment, safety audits, biological monitoring, and scaffold erector assessment.
