ASEAN and DOLE-OSHC award Maynilad with ASEAN Red Ribbon for Outstanding Workplace

“My warmest congratulations to Maynilad Water Services, Inc. for many achievements in the occupational safety and health advocacy for being the first winner from the Philippines of the ASEAN Red Ribbon for Outstanding Workplace (ARROW) Award.! Truly, Maynilad is an OSH champion that is worthy of emulation by all companies. Earlier this year, we have awarded three of your sites as Regional GKK Champions and now you have even more laurels making you an epitome of our tagline “SikatangMaingat”, said Occupational Safety and Health Executive Director Ma. Tersita S. Cucueco during the awarding ceremony held in Bogor, Indonesia on September 14, 2016.

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. was nominated by the OSHC for the ARROW due to its exemplary compliance to the workplace provisions of the RA 8504: and DOLE Department Order 102-10 both on the HIV and AIDS prevention and control. Maynilad was also highly rated in terms of corporate social responsibility programs and having an established annual budget for the implementation of HIV/AIDS programs in the workplace.

The ARROW is an ASEAN award that aims to cultivate better awareness and greater involvement of the business leaders in achieving zero new-HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths in the workplace in ASEAN Member States (AMS).
