DOLE-OSHC to open seven new branches in Tuguegarao, Laguna, Legaspi, Iloilo, Davao, and Koronadal

“Congratulations the new hires and newly promoted staff. I am very happy that the OSHC family is growing and that we can now bring OSH services closer to the regions. Your job is very challenging because you will the face and voice of the Center in the Regions but don’t worry because all of us here at the central office will support you in all endeavours” said Occupational Safety and Health Center Executive Director Ma. Teresita S. Cucueco, MD, CESO III during the oath taking of the new OSHC staff today, January 7, 2015.


Engr. Karen Matusalem, Mark James Andayog RN, Melvin Melocoton RN, April Gaa RN, Engr. Jennifer Talo, and Engr. Perolen Gagula are currently undergoing intensive training at the OSHC main office before being deployed in Regions 2,5, 6, 10,11, and 12 respectively. Engr. Marc Patrick Agno, who was hired in September 2014, will be deployed in Region 4A. They will be taking office at the DOLE Regional offices in the said regions beginning February 16, 2015.


This brings the OSHC Regional Units to nine including the existing offices in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and CARAGA.


“We will be continuously hiring staff and training them to handle the effective implementation of OSH programs in all regions. This is in line with Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz’s directive to deploy OSHC staff in all regions,” Cucueco added.
