DOLE-OSHC REU XII and OSHNet XII trains 81 new safety officers on BOSH

A total of 81 new safety officers from 49 companies attended the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training held in cooperation with the Occupational Safety and Health Networks (OSHNets) on February 22-26, 2016 at General Santos City.

The BOSH Training is one of the 40-hour mandatory trainings for safety officers. Under the Occupational Safety and Health Standards, a sufficient number of safety officers, who have finished the BOSH Training, must be employed by all establishments. The number of safety officers depends on the number of workers for every shift.

“We are grateful to our ever reliable partners - the OSHNets, who help us reach out to more and more workers in need of OSH trainings. The demand for OSH trainings is huge and we cannot take it on our own, said Occupational Safety and Health Center Executive Director Ma. Teresita S. Cucueco, MD, CESO III.
