We are grateful for the partnership we have with the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) in promoting fire prevention and in our projects and programs,” said Bureau of Fire Protection Chief Ariel A. Barayuga, CEO IV today, March 1, 2016.
The awarding was part of the Walk for a Fire Free and Fire Safe Nation 2016 – the kick-off ceremony for the Fire Prevention Month held at Liwasang Aurora, Quezon Memorial Circle Quezon City. This year’s Fire Prevention Month is themed “Kaalaman at Pagtutulungan ng Sambayanan, Kaligtasan sa Sunog ay Makakamtan.
In partnership with the BFP, the OSHC conducts the Fire Safety Training for Fire Safety Practitioners (FTSFSP). The FTSFSP is a 40-hour training that features discussions and workshops on fire management, legislation, fire safety assessment and practices that will help fire safety practitioners effectively perform their duties and responsibilities.
The said training is open to DOLE-accredited safety practitioners.
